Diagnosis of B?hn's nodes in an infant, case report

Abstract

Introduction: there is a great variety of alterations in the oral cavity that affect the infant, being of vital importance the recognition, diagnosis and appropriate resolution based on the specific anatomical characteristics of the newborn. Within these are B?hn's nodules, cystic bulges from the dental lamina, present on the edges of the gingival pads of infants, which can cause concern in parents and be confused with other pathologies.

Objective: to expose the most significant clinical and epidemiological characteristics of B?hn's nodules from the presentation of a case.

Clinical Case: a case diagnosed with Bh?n nodules in the municipality of Quivic?n, Mayabeque province is presented; in an infant whose evolution without treatment after 4 and a half weeks led to the satisfactory disappearance of the detected nodules.

Conclusions: it is of vital importance that parents are able to know the oral disorders of the newborn and receive adequate guidance regarding the oral pathologies of infants, among them: B?hn's nodules, which are disorders that occur relatively frequently.
