The universities attached to the Ministry of Public Health fulfill a special mission: the health of the people, constituting the strengthening of the pillars of society;?inserting its student mass in tasks of social impact from the first years of the different disciplines of training.?If we make a section of analysis in the development of university science encompassed by undergraduate training profiles, a basic question arises for the university community: do we really comply in our research development with the requirement of a conscious, systematic and innovative science?;?the answer can be very variable, it depends on the qualities of each author when facing the problem and possible justification of it;?but in general, an investigative management based on interests can be appreciated in certain areas of knowledge of personal satisfaction, which on many occasions do not give an outlet to the main health problems of an environment or territory.?Today's medical science student must be a driving force behind innovation;?with the objective of developing new strategies, distinguishing the possible from the vain, and recognizing the risks and dangers in medical care and the way to face them with a thought based on the clinical and scientific method.?From innovation in the research area, elements will be generated that will nurture the teaching component and this, in turn, to medical practice.Downloads
