Dent in the ideology of the Cuban university student movement

Introduction: Mella's political awareness enabled him to glimpse the important social function of knowledge, science and education and project a revolutionary social change where the actors in the process were conscious subjects of the conditions of that struggle.

Objective: to exemplify the contribution of Julio A. Mella to the ideology of the Cuban student movement, the present investigation is carried out.

Methods: the general methods of scientific knowledge were used, such as: the historical-logical, the analytical-synthetic, the inductive-deductive; reviewing a total of 12 bibliographical references.

Conclusions: in a pseudo-republic scenario where inequality in terms of rights and social classes, that young man, what to say of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution when qualifying him as the man who did the most in a short time; advocated for a radical reform convinced that universities are always one of the firm exponents of civilization, culture and patriotism of the people. He is a genuine representative of the Cuban youth of his time in which a Marti and Marxist training materializes, which allowed him to have a broad vision of the need for the transformation of the university in order to obtain social changes.
